A massive thanks to everyone that attended our end of season awards. We hope you all enjoyed the evening.

We were pleased to have Darcey Carter present to hand out the awards.

Most Improved Player – Jude Rayner
Jude wins the award for his consistent bowling and excellent pull shots that makes it clear he has been working and practising hard during training and throughout the whole season.

Player Of The Year – Jacob Hoople
Jacob has often bowled at the hardest part of the innings, against the oppositions first or last pair. He has regularly taken wickets & not conceded many runs. He has batted excellently knowing which balls to defend and which to attack – and he’s not afraid to take a quick single! Not only has he played brilliantly throughout the season, but he does so with a smile on his face and he is always encouraging to the team.

Under 11 Awards

Most Improved Player – Amelia Waitt
Amelia has a great cricketing brain who is a very good all-rounder.
She bowls a mean line and length.

Player Of The Year – Lucas Carroll
Lucas has bowled superbly this season – very fast and accurate.
He is also a very good fielder and his batting has really improved this season.

Under 13 Awards

Most Improved Player – Jude File
Jude hasn’t been playing cricket for as long as many of the other players in the squad but has developed into a very clean ball striker and steady, accurate bowler. Has a good powerful throw and is always looking to improve his game.

Player Of The Year – Callum Harding-Burchell
Calum is always keen and trains every week, opens the bowling against the best opposition batters and usually always takes wickets for not many runs and a superb team player.

Under 15 Awards

Most Improved Player – Sam Janser
Sam has worked hard at his game both during the winter sessions and the season. He took important wickets in a number of games. He very much deserves this award.

Player Of The Year – Diksha Mhaske
Diksha has bowled, batted and fielded with great assurance during the season. She plays the game with great spirit and full-on commitment and is a fantastic example to us all. Many congratulations on a fantastic season.

Godden Clubman Of The Year Award
Finley Adams

Fin has been with the club since he was 9 years old. He has had an excellent season with the U13s, U15s, Area District team and the senior 5th XI Development team. He has also made excellent progress in the Folkestone Academy.

Andy Bourne Academy Player of the Year
Harrison Green

Roy Downey chose Harrison because he has a great attitude in training (and that’s our motto) and has made the most progress as a cricketer.

John Paige Cup Dedication to Junior Cricket
Jazz Thind

Jazz is an important member of our coaching team – he has had a very busy season.
He’s umpired over 2,000 overs this season for the U11, U13, District and our 5th XI Development squad.
He has also spent a lot of time nurturing and developing our very young U11 squad.

Linda Ball Most Deserver Person
Heather Southgate

Heather has done a remarkable job with the girls.
Our initial aim was to give girls in Folkestone a chance to play cricket and create some memorable experiences.
We now have a squad of over 20 girls that turn up regularly to training sessions.
The girls have performed well in all their matches this season and won their first league match against Hythe.
Well done to Aphra & Darcey for attending the U11 Girls Kent Trials and congratulation to Darcey on making the Area squad.

John Tredwell Champagne Moments

Sherdil Khan- 3 wickets in an over!
Sherdil is only with us from July to August. During his short time with us he has impressed us with bat, ball and fielding.
He took 3 wickets in one over in a league match – a yorker plus two brilliant run outs off his bowling.
Unfortunately he’s not present tonight!

Ollie Peterson – U15 Cup Final heroics!!
Ollie injured himself in the nets before the Cup Final against Hythe & originally said he couldn’t bat. However, with us being 75 for 6 (in an 8-a-side match), he was persuaded to bat and held an end up so Harshal could score at the other. As his confidence grew, he then hit some great boundaries himself in a 53 run partnership.
This final wicket partnership won us the match with 2 balls to spare in a tense match.

U15 “Invincibles” Team
Amazing season by the U15s – unbeaten in all their matches this season (at the time the trophies were ordered!)
They won the Saxon Shore League & Cup Double, the Ashford League & were runners up in the Cup.
