Folkestone CC Golf Day 2021

Dear Fellow Golfers and Cricketing Friends,

I trust you are all keeping well as we come out of these surreal times.

I am pleased to confirm that the Annual Folkestone Cricket Club Golf Day will be going ahead, unless there are any government changes regarding further lockdowns or restrictions!  Please see the attached flyer.

The format will be the usual Stableford competition at Etchinghill Golf Club, which will be followed by the prize giving accompanied by a two-course meal and coffee in the evening at the Golf Club.  I have currently booked for up to 45 golfers, so it will be on a first come first served basis.  There will of course be the opportunity for non-golfers to attend the dinner afterwards.  I would therefore appreciate a show of interest and confirmation of participation accordingly.

Although I ‘retired’ last year from organising this day, I have agreed to undertake it this year, but I have been promised some assistance in the organisation with preferably a person shadowing me, so I can hand over the reins for the future organising.  Hopefully, this will enable me to participate in the event.

I would be grateful if you could all spread the word and confirm your participation, so that we can arrange an enjoyable day’s golfing and hopefully raise much needed funds for the Cricket Club in these difficult times.   It is also a great opportunity to catch up with old friends.

I am pleased to confirm our very good friends from the Hampshire Stragglers will hopefully be joining us once again this year to compete for the Sumpter Trophy.

If you are unable to attend this event, you can still be involved, as I am looking for hole sponsors or any kind donations to assist in raising as much money as possible for the Cricket Club, so there is no excuse to not be involved!
