Everyone at Folkestone Cricket Club is incredibly proud to share that our very own Nathan Ingleston has been selected to represent the Panama National Cricket Team in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers in Bermuda, starting next week.
Having qualified through the South American Championship in October, Panama will face Bermuda, Bahamas, Brazil, and Belize in what promises to be a hugely competitive week of cricket. The stakes are high, with the tournament winner moving one step closer to next year’s T20 World Cup.
This is a remarkable achievement for Nathan — not only earning a place in the national side within a growing cricketing nation, but also competing on the international stage in an ICC pathway event.
His cricketing journey began right here at FCC at just 9 years old, and it’s fantastic to see how far that passion has taken him.
Nathan progressed through every junior age group, later taking on the 2nd XI captaincy at just 20, during a challenging period for the side. Under his leadership, the team achieved two promotions in five years — a testament to his commitment and leadership qualities.
He went on to become a regular in the 1st XI, also serving as Vice-Captain, and after a short spell at Whitstable, returned to continue contributing at the highest level before moving to Panama for work.
As many at the club will say — if you cut Nathan in half, it would read “FCC” straight through the middle!
We’re also delighted that proud parents Stuart & Giselle will be travelling out to Bermuda to support him.
Everyone at FCC wishes Nathan and the Panama team the very best of luck — we’ll be following closely and cheering you on all the way!
