Women’s Softball Season 2026

2026 is going to be a busy season for our ladies.
We have entered teams in the following competitions run by Kent Cricket.

Women’s Winter Softball Indoor Cricket Festival (1 team)
Women’s Winter Softball Indoor Cricket League
(KWSCIL EAST BLUE GROUP) (1 team)
Kent Women’s Softball Cricket League (KWSCL) (1 team)
This is the outdoor softball festival where pitches are played on the outfield of grounds. There is usually 4 teams in each division. Each club will then host a festival day where everyone plays a round robin format. Teams then discuss amongst themselves dates for when they will host. Kent just give you a date when all festivals in your division need to be played. Normally a WhatsApp group is created for captains to discuss dates etc.
Kent Women’s Softball Bash (KWSB) (1 team)
The Bash is traditional cricket played with a softball. Matches are played on a wicket using an incrediball. This can be seen as a transition for players want or looking to play hardball cricket and possibly play in the development league. The standard is not that of the premiership division. Most that play in the Bash are a bit more competitive than the softball festival. Also those who enjoy traditional cricket but don’t fancy playing hardball or wearing the protective equipment play. Teams usually play around 5-6 games in the league, a mix of home and away. You play each team once. We will set fixtures, however we do allow teams to move fixtures, if both teams agree, to an alternative date. There is also some flexibility to reduce overs if required to fit games in mid-week. he wicket length has been reduced to 19yrds this year.

We will also be playing lots of friendlies, competing in various local softball festivals as well as hosting our own festival at Three Hills.
Additionally, we have been invited to play a friendly match in Valenciennes, France!
