Women’s Cricket at Folkestone Cricket Club!

We’re excited to introduce women’s soft ball cricket at Three Hills!

This fun and social format is all about enjoying the game, with simple rules designed to make it easy to pick up and play. Soft ball cricket has grown in popularity in recent years, bringing women of all ages and backgrounds together to have a great time on and off the field.
If you’re looking to meet new people, stay active, and enjoy the outdoors this summer, why not give it a go?
Ladies of all ages and experience are welcome.

Where and when?

During the summer, we’ll be holding weekly training sessions at the club on Friday evenings from 18:00 – 19:30.
These sessions are perfect for beginners to learn the basics, and for experienced players to improve their skills.
We also arrange in-house matches or friendlies with other local clubs – great for enjoying the game in a relaxed, social atmosphere and the bar is always open!

What is soft ball cricket?

Soft ball cricket is a fun, fast-paced, and social version of cricket designed to be accessible for players of all abilities. Instead of a traditional hard cricket ball, a softer ball is used, making it safer and eliminating the need for heavy protective gear.

So… do I need any special kit or prior experience?

In short – no! Just a decent pair of trainers and you’re good to go. We provide all the kit.

Anything else I need to know?

• Not really. Just come down and give it a go, as many will be learning and trying the game for the first time.
  We will cover all the rules of the game and plans for the season during our training sessions.

• During the summer, please meet and sign-in at the main entrance to Three Hills.
• Membership fee is £30 for the season and covers all the outdoor training sessions.
  It also gives you a discount for drinks at the bar plus free usage of our outdoor nets.
